Celebrating Fatherhood and Cherished Bonds

The Omega Gamma Gamma Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., in partnership with the William L. Turner Foundation, proudly hosted the 13th Annual “Treat Her Like a Lady” Father-Daughter Dance – You Are My Sunshine on April 12, 2025. Held at Fellowship Bible Baptist Church, this annual tradition is a heartfelt tribute to the unique bond between fathers and their daughters, promoting quality time, positive male presence, and lasting memories.

While this year’s attendance was slightly lower than anticipated, the event still provided a joyful and meaningful experience for all in attendance. A total of 46 guests participated, including 19 fathers and 27 daughters, with 70 tickets sold in total.

An Evening to Remember

The night featured an exciting lineup of activities designed to engage and delight. Guests enjoyed:

• Complimentary photo sessions and a 360° photo booth experience
• Lively music and vibes from DJ Twins
• Refreshments and treats from Candiland Cakes
• Interactive trivia games to see how well fathers and daughters knew one another
• A spirited round of musical chairs that brought out everyone’s playful side
• A special book signing by author Kimberly Abad

Each activity was crafted to strengthen the emotional connection between fathers and daughters, building a legacy of love, trust, and affection.

Brotherhood in Action

The success of the event was made possible through the dedication of 10 brothers of Omega Gamma Gamma, who contributed over 25 man-hours in setup, breakdown, and event execution. Their commitment to service and excellence exemplifies the fraternity’s Four Cardinal Principles of Manhood, Scholarship, Perseverance, and Uplift.

Though the crowd was smaller, the smiles, laughter, and heartfelt moments served as a powerful reminder of the importance of intentional fatherhood and family connection. The Omega Gamma Gamma Chapter looks forward to growing and enhancing this tradition in the years to come.
